Details in life and existence that are often considered meaningless behavior and effects in our society. It is the escape from life that is meaningless. Neither the unhealthy comparison nor the brain-dead idle surfing is likely to contribute to any deeper sense of meaning. but the question is whether this is not still just a contemporary symptom of a psychological mechanism, a defense that people have adopted throughout time to protect themselves from the overwhelming reality.
