Paris is a world city and now has the eyes of the whole world on it. Paris is hosting the 24th Summer Olympic Games. Today it has been five years since the great fire that destroyed the Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris. But after many years of reconstruction work, the cathedral is now starting to look the same again. After extensive extinguishing work, the fire was extinguished, but it managed to cause extensive damage to the building. It was quickly decided that the cathedral would be rebuilt and since then the reconstruction work has been in full swing. Expected to open to the public again in December this year.
